How to Block contact synchronization with other devices
If you're concerned about your contacts being synced with other devices, there are steps you can take to block this synchronization. Here are the following steps to do so:

Navigate to Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account > Security > Your devices > sign out all the unused devices

Navigate to Settings > Google > Settings for Google apps > Google Contacts sync > turn off ‘Automatically back up & sync device contacts’ function
How to Recover the contact lists already deleted within 15 days or 30 days

Google website: If you deleted a contact in the last 30 days, you can move it out of your Trash
- Access Contact Google on PC internet > At the top right, click Settings and then Undo changes > Choose a time to go back to > Click Confirm.
- Access Contact Google on PC internet > At the left, click Trash > At the top, click Recover

Samsung device: If there are some contact lists in the Trash deleted within the last 15 days, you can restore those
- Navigate to ‘Contacts’ app > More(navigation menu) > Trash > Edit > select contact lists > click ‘Restore all’

In case of using the same Google Account on multiple devices
When you use the same Google Account on multiple devices (e.g., Device A and Device B) and have the 'Automatically back up & sync device contacts' feature enabled, some contacts might be deleted. This can happen if:
- Contacts are deleted from another device (Device B) where the same Google Account is logged in, and the changes sync to the server
- If there’s a sync issue, deleted or changed contacts on one device will reflect on the other (Device A) since Google syncs all changes across devices.
How to Recover Deleted Contacts
- Deleted contacts are kept in Google’s Trash for 30 days. You can recover them by using the ‘Undo changes’ option or by recovering them from Trash via Google Contacts.
Prevent Future Sync Issues
- To prevent further synchronization issues, you can block contact syncing for other devices via your Google Account settings.
Temporary Recovery Method
- If you notice contacts missing, this could be due to the device showing contacts stored on the phone instead of All contacts. This can happen if the 'Automatically back up & sync device contacts' feature is enabled, as contacts are moved to the Google Account.
- Turn off the 'Automatically back up & sync device contacts' feature to prevent further confusion or loss.
